Associated Press Coal companies shares up at the close of trading

Shares of some top coal companies were up at the close of trading:
Arch Coal rose $.65 or 5.4 percent, to $12.66.
Consol Energy rose $.99 or 4.4 percent, to $23.57.
Massey Energy rose $.29 or 2.9 percent, to $10.25.
Peabody Energy rose $1.21 or 5.9 percent, to $21.64.
