[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.

Stocks suffered their worst one-day loss in two months. The DJIA dropped 200.72 points, or 2.35 %, to end at 8,339.01. Underscoring worries about the economy's outlook, the World Bank said prospects for the global economy remain "unusually uncertain" as it cut 2009 growth forecasts for most economies.

Most Southeast Asian stock markets fell on Monday. Oil, which fell below $69 on Monday, weighed on regional sentiment while investors were cautiously awaiting guidance on interest rates and the economic outlook from a U.S. Federal Reserve meeting this week, analysts said.

The Thai index lost 1.1 %, Singapore's index inched down 0.3 %, Vietnam fell for a second day, ending down 3.6 %, and The Jakarta index fell 0.8 %.

Crude oil for July delivery fell $2.62 to $66.93 a barrel. Nickel declined 3 % to $14,750 a ton and tin slipped 0.7 % to $14,725 a ton. Crude palm oil futures dropped as much as 5.7 % yesterday to hit a fresh 11-week low as weaker oil prices weighed on global vegetable oil markets.

Indonesian economy is still growing at 4% – 5% rate while other countries in the Southeast Asian region are showing negative growth. JCI trading at 11.25x PE’10 whichis lower than regional peers like Singapore 13.6x PE’10. But if presidential election were extended to two round, we expect turbulence in our market.

Our Market will under pressure for today with support JCI at 1850. Maintain Cash and underweight for short term strategy. Back on fundamental valuation or wait and see.

“Skeptical, aren’t we?”

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.

The DJAI fell 0.19 %. But the S&P added 0.31 % and the Nasdaq rose 1.09 %. DJIA Loses 3 % for the week.

Major Southeast Asian stock markets rose on Friday as index heavyweights attracted bargain hunters, with Singapore ending a six-day fall and Thai stocks up after interest rate comments from the Bank of Thailand.

Markets in the region tracked improving sentiment elsewhere in Asia as U.S. factory and jobs data provided more evidence that the global economy was starting to recover from its deep recession.

Recent sell-offs in Southeast Asian stocks had led to cheaply valued shares but investors were still looking for fresh reasons to buy. A U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting next week may provide such a trigger, with signals on the economy.

The Indonesian index JCI was up 2 % on Friday, ending a 6.8 % fall over the previous four days, pushed up by a 4 % surge in Astra International and a 7.5 % gain in top lender Bank Mandiri.

Crude oil for July delivery fell $1.82, or 2.6 percent, to $69.55 a barrel on Friday on speculation that supplies of the motor fuel will climb as refineries bolster output and imports gain. Coal on Newcastle Port tumbled 7.74% from last week to $70.81. Tin fell 0.8 % to $14,825 a ton, while nickel rose 1.3 % to $15,200 a ton. Malaysian palm oil futures ended softer on Friday for the third consecutive day, touching a new 10-week intraday low.

Nothing changes on our fundamental economic but we must watch political situation carefully. Rupiah movement was one of trigger on our market. After surged at 10600 on Friday Morning rupiah pull back and strengthen to 10300.

My Top Pick is still same, TLKM, ANTM, INCO, TINS, BUMI, BNBR, and DEWA. Start Looking for BBRI, UNTR and PGAS as government wants 90% dividend from net profit. Especially on TINS, I think TINS will be very attractive this week with around 6% dividend yield.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
U.S. stocks snapped a three-day losing streak as reports on jobless claims and manufacturing added to evidence the recession may be near a bottom.

Major Southeast Asian stock markets tumbled again on Thursday, with Jakarta sliding more than 3 % and Singapore declining for a sixth day, weighed down by losses in heavyweight banking shares. Asian stocks retreated as investors took profits after solid gains earlier in the second quarter sparked by signs the global economy is starting to recover. The MSCI index of Asia-Pacific stocks outside Japan fell 1.1 %.

In Jakarta, Bank Mandiri, the largest lender, was down 5.5 %, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia, the third largest, fell 6.5 %.

Crude oil was little changed after rising yesterday on reports that signaled the U.S. economy will rebound later this year, prompting an increase in energy demand. Crude oil for July delivery rose 14 cents to $71.51 a barrel. Tin slipped 1 % to $14,950 a ton, and nickel climbed 1.1 % to $15,010 a ton.

We believe economic data is coming in better than expected. There is an increasing chance that this recession will be over by the third rather than fourth quarter. Nothing changes on our fundamental economic but market still on consolidation. Maintain Cash and selective buying on lower for medium term investment.

Watching for some Fund into Market Today after market sharply decline. My Top Pick is still same, TLKM, ANTM, INCO, TINS, BUMI, BNBR, and DEWA. Start Looking for ASII, BDMN and BMRI.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you
U.S. stocks fell, sending the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index to its biggest two-day tumble since April. Stocks rose in early trading as a better-than-estimated report on housing starts spurred a rally in homebuilders and commodity shares climbed with metal and oil prices.

Southeast Asian stock markets fell on Tuesday, worried about the pace of recovery in the global economy, with Singapore tumbling to near three-week lows 2.2% while stocks in Jakarta down 1.9% and Bangkok slid close to two-week lows 2.7%.

Many markets in Asia turned up slightly in late trade simply because investors took their lead from Dow Jones futures and oil prices. Markets will remain cautious in coming sessions as investors are less optimistic over the global recovery.

Crude oil was little changed as U.S. equities dropped and the dollar rebounded. Crude oil for July delivery fell 15 cents to settle at $70.47 a barrel. Tin advanced 0.3 percent to $15,100 a ton. Nickel gained 0.8 percent to $14,900 a ton.

I think investors need more clear evidence of growth to restart the market's rally. A pause in the rally is necessary for stocks to move higher. The market is overbought right now and what it needs to do is consolidate and it needs to have a series of days like this.

For today, I think our market still on consolidation with support 1998-2010 point index. We are still on defensive stock recommendation with high yield dividend.

We are still positive on TLKM, TINS, ANTM, INCO, BUMI, DEWA and BNBR. Buy on Weakness on the lower range index. Interesting on RALS?

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
Bad economic news and doubts about the market's ability to rally dealt stocks a huge setback. DJIA fell 187 points Monday, their biggest drop since April 20. All the major market indexes fell more than 2 percent.

Most Southeast Asian stock markets fell on Monday, with Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia approaching a one-week low as retreating oil prices pushed energy and commodity shares lower. Asian bourses look set to be in a correction phase. Investors have taken the view that interest rates may start going up again, although this looks to be too early.

The Singapore index fell 2.6 %, Thailand's index dropped 2.7 %, Indonesia lost about 1 % and Vietnam fell 3.2 %.

Commodities are fall as rising dollar curbs demand for inflation hedge. Oil fell for a second day as the dollar rose the most against the euro since April, Crude oil for July delivery lost $1.42, or 2 %, to settle at $70.62 a barrel. Tin dropped 3.8 percent to $15,050 a ton. Nickel slid 5.8 percent to $14,775 a ton. Palm oil dropped as much as 1.8 per cent to RM2,420 (US$687) a ton.

Indonesian market will under pressure for today with JCI support around 2010-2032 point index. The correction is still healthy because nothing changes on our fundamental economic. Cash management is still preferred. We are looking defensive stocks with high dividend such as TLKM, ASII, BBRI, TINS and ANTM. Buy on Weakness on the lower range index.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
U.S. stocks racked up gains across a wide array of sectors by rising commodity prices and improving labor market conditions, along with a sharp drop in interest rates.

Major Southeast Asian stock markets came off their early highs on Thursday. Jakarta's index JCI dropped 0.9 % after a 2.5 % rise in the past two days. Indonesia's largest telecommunications firm TLKM was down 2.6 % and the largest automotive distributor ASII lost 3.7 %.

Crude oil climbed to a seven-month high. Crude oil for July delivery rose $1.35, or 1.9 %, to $72.68 a barrel. China's top five power generating groups have signed 2009 coal supply contracts with prices up 4 percent on the year. Nickel rose more than 6 % to an eight-month high of $15,860, and closed at $15,800 from $14,905.

Malaysia’s palm oil inventory at end-May rose 5.72% to 1.37 million tons from a 22-month low of 1.29 million tons in April, mainly due to higher production. Year-on-year stocks, however, fell 28.7%.

Hopes that a global economic recovery would come earlier than previously expected had a positive impact on corporate earnings outlooks and stock valuations. The recovery story will push equities prices higher because of analyst upgrades on earnings and target prices.

Maintain Positive for Our Market View for 2187.5 point Index. Our Top Pick still on mining and commodity sector. We are still recommended by on weakness TLKM and BNBR for better growth.

Top Pick is ANTM, INCO, TINS, TLKM, BUMI, BNBR, PGAS, SGRO and ELSA.

Trading Idea ANTM, INCO, ELSA

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
The Nasdaq rose on Tuesday after an improved outlook from Texas Instruments lifted technology stocks. The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI dropped 1.43 points, or 0.02 percent.

Most Southeast Asian stocks ended higher on Tuesday, with Singapore coming off a 1-week low and Indonesia rising almost 2 percent. Advancers in Jakarta included PT Bank Mandiri Tbk which jumped 5.1 percent and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk was up 3.9%.

Equities in the region fell earlier in the day as investors cashed in on recent rallies. A weak U.S. dollar boded well for stocks and commodity prices. U.S. dollar movement against major currencies is pivotal to equity markets. Our strategy of "stay invested" in equities is based on continued dollar weakness, which brings about a reciprocal rise in commodity prices.

Crude oil for July delivery gained $1.92 to $70.01 a barrel, the highest settlement since Nov. 4. Strong demand from China and India is also expected to spur recovery in global coal in the second half of this year. Thermal Coal was offering at $74. Nickel added 4.9 percent to $15,000 a ton and tin jumped 5.9 percent to $15,775 a ton.

Maintain positive outlook with mining and coal is one of my favorite sectors. TLKM had a very attractive valuation and I think TLKM was one of the cheapest on blue-chips.

My Top Pick is ANTM, INCO, TINS, TLKM, ADRO, PTBA, UNTR, BBNI, BBRI and SGRO with recommendation buy and hold. Accumulating Bakrie related stocks such as BUMI, BNBR and DEWA.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
U.S. stocks rebounded late on Monday to end flat. The three major U.S. stock indexes had fallen more than 1 percent before rallying in the last hour of trading, led by bank shares. What we're seeing is investors, both institutional and individuals, looking at dips as an opportunity to buy.

Most Southeast Asian stock markets gave up early gains on Monday, with CapitaLand and other big caps leading Singapore to a 1-week low, and weaker bank shares pushing Indonesia and Thailand lower. So now, in line with the regional markets, it's just a consolidation.

The Jakarta index JCI dropped 1.1 percent to 2056.6 points, after earlier rising to 2099.08, it’s highest since September 4.

Crude oil fell for a second day, following global equities lower, as a stronger dollar. Crude oil for July delivery fell 35 cents, or 0.5 percent, to settle at $68.09 a barrel. Crude oil is set to “spike” without new investments and a price surge is in the making.

Nickel for delivery in three-months on the LME fell 3.1 percent to $14,150 a ton.

May palm oil stocks may drop 2.3 per cent to a 23-month low as exports and domestic demand were slightly higher than output.

Still maintain positive outlook on our market. It's a healthy consolidation because the market has gone up a lot in the past two months.

Continue on mining and coal
ANTM: potential upside from its gold mines. The nickel price is on a recovery, touching the USD14,500/ton level, additional demand may come in from marginals players coming on line again and if it touches USD16,000/tone.

As we expect recovery in global economy will have positive impact on global coal demand, thus impacting price as well. We are very like coal sector from now. Our Top Pick for Coal Sector was PTBA, ADRO, ITMG and BUMI.

We continue to recommend ANTM, TINS, INCO, BBNI, BBRI, PTBA, BUMI, DEWA, BNBR, PGAS and INDF with Buy on Lower. Hold or short-term reduce for property especially on CTRA and SMRA.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

U.S. stocks rose for a third week, almost erasing the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s 2009 loss, on further signs the economy is improving. The S&P 500 has climbed 39 percent from a 12-year low on March 9. The S&P 500 closed above its average price over the past 200 days for the first time since December 2007 on June 1, a bullish signal to so-called technical analysts who study charts to predict market trends.

Most Southeast Asian stock markets rose on Friday to their highest levels in more than eight months, supported by broad global recovery hopes. "Money flows are continuing to move from low-risk assets like bonds to stock markets. Investors are betting on expectations of global recovery.

Indonesia JCI was up 2.3 percent to its highest since Sept. 4, with Bank Mandiri up 5.9 percent and Bank Negara Indonesia up 9.8 percent. Indonesia JCI rose 8.5 percent for the week,

Oil closed at $68.44 fell 0.54 % and Nickel fell 0.7 % to $14,600. The physical market CPO, June South was lower at RM2,580 per ton compared with RM2,600 per ton. Coal on Newcastle Port closed at $74.31.

Maintain positive outlook with mining and energy is one of my favorite sectors. TLKM had a very attractive valuation. I think TLKM was one of the cheapest on blue-chips. We recommend accumulating this share with better outlook and performances. INDF, SMCB, ELTY, BNBR, SGRO, BBNI and BBRI were still interesting. I think we hold or short term reduce for PGAS, TINS, ANTM, INCO and BMRI and wait on lower range.

“CONSOLIDATION BUT JCI 2187.5 SHOULD BE ACHIEVEABLE SOON”.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Stocks rose for the fifth time in six days Thursday after analysts raised their ratings on banks and oil prices rose again, making energy firms look increasingly attractive. Investors were also willing to take more chances on stocks after the government reported that the number of workers continuing to receive unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell for the first time in 20 weeks.

Most Southeast Asian indices rose on Thursday, tracking a late rebound in Hong Kong shares and U.S. futures. Thailand's stock index .SETI climbed 2 percent to its highest level since October 3, after Wednesday's 1.4 percent rise. Indonesia JKSE rose 1.1 percent.

Oil prices on Thursday set a new high for the year, buoyed by a weaker dollar and the first drop in unemployment since January. Benchmark crude for July delivery was up $2.69 to settle at $68.81 a barrel. Nickel for three-month delivery advanced $320, or 2.3 percent, to $14,525 a metric ton.

US$ debasement risks + rising oil prices + slow soybean planting in the US + rising El Nino chances = tailwinds to CPO prices.

As we see that latest data showing improvement in all regions so we think we will upgrade our target for year end. After better than expectation on our inflation data we believe our economic will have a better growth. JCI closing at 2032.72 above psychologist 2000 point index and than we will see 2187.5 soon as our medium target. Liquidity is still strong and Indonesian rupiah strengthen to 10.000 levels, Core Private Equity Fund Eye Asia Bets.

Continue to positive outlook for our market and our focus still on Commodity sector as we are more bullish. Top Pick for the day is Miners, CPO and Energy again like ANTM, INCO, TINS, ADRO, BUMI, INDY, UNTR and SGRO. And for financial sector we choose BBNI and BBRI. Don’t forget property and shipping.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
U.S. stocks fell for the first time in five days, extending a global drop, as a report showed the nation lost more jobs than forecast, commodities slid and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index traded at the most expensive in eight months.

Asian stocks rose for a fourth day, led by banks and energy companies, as faster-than-expected Australian economic growth and U.S. home sales fueled optimism the global recession is easing. Indonesia's index JCI rose 0.6 percent after its central bank cut interest rates by 25 basis points to 7 percent and pointed to more reductions to come.

Global Recovery
Bernanke sounded more confident that the U.S. recession would end this year than he had just one month ago, and he said the risk of a dangerous downward spiral in prices had receded.

Chinese purchasing manager’s index this week showed the country’s manufacturing industry expanded for a third month. Japan’s government last week raised its assessment of the economy for the first time in three years.

Real-estate companies in Hong Kong climbed after the Land Registry said the city’s homes sales jumped 42 percent by volume in May, the biggest increase since February 2008. Investors bought construction-related firms on Thailand.

Crude oil for July delivery fell to settle at $66.12 a barrel. Nickel slid 2.8 percent to $14,205 a ton, tin was unchanged at $14,500 a ton.

Maintain our positive outlook. For today’s I think we must look PGAS, TINS, INCO, ANTM, ADRO, INDY, UNTR and SGRO. We are more positive on commodity sector for better economic outlook. But don’t forget to accumulate property sector as ELTY and Ciputra Group especially on CTRP.

Liquidity still strong and Indonesian Rupiah strengthen to 10120 and it is very positive to our market.

[BRIGHT INFO] "Just a Note"

Good day to you.
DJIA rose for the fourth straight day as an upbeat report on sales of previously owned U.S. homes. The number of U.S. homebuyers who agreed to purchase a previously occupied home in April posted the largest monthly jump in nearly eight years (April surged 6.7 percent to 90.3), a sign that sales are finally coming to life after a long and painful slump. After taking a beating for the past two years, real estate investment trusts are regaining popularity with investors looking for bargains and a way to capitalize on an industry rebound.

Crude oil rebounded from the day’s lows, finishing little changed. Gold rose in New York and London as the declining dollar increased the metal’s appeal as an alternative investment. Nickel dropped 0.2 percent to $14,620, and tin eased 1 percent to $14,500.

Stock markets elsewhere in Southeast Asia ended mixed as demand for shares faded along with easing oil prices. The profit taking simply followed the direction of crude oil prices. Indonesia's stock index JCI was nearly unchanged.

Inflation would continue to ebb, particularly in the next two months as the high-base effect of last-year’s fuel price increase to continue to occur. Trade balance held up relatively well, recording a surplus of US$2.07bn in Apr09 vs US$2.06bn in the previous month.

The Indonesian unit of Thai Banpu (BANP.BK) wants to acquire a coal mine in Indonesia to boost production. Indonesia's PT Adaro (ADRO.JK), the country's second-largest coal producer, expects China's demand for overseas coal to stay strong in the second half of this year.

We believe Crude palm oil (CPO) prices are likely to hit RM3.000 per ton later this month on increased demand and less supply of soybean.

Maintain our positive Outlook especially on commodity with Buy on Weakness strategy. SGRO is one of the cheapest stocks on agro sector. “Let’s Back to Metal with Buy on Lower”.
