Appointed bookrunners and underwriter for rights issue
BMRI appointed Deutsche Bank, BofA-Merrill Lynch, Citi and CLSA as joint bookrunners and Danareksa as underwriter for corporate rights issue purpose. BMRI targets to conduct rights issue before year end in anticipation to meet capital demand as lending grows more than 20% this year. The bank projects to gather Rp13tr proceed to increase CAR and secure 5ppt tax reduction incentive. As a preliminary step, BMRI held non-deal roadshow with 50 prospective investors in Hong Kong and Singapore last month to gauge market interest on rights issue shares.
